Rockets new uniform FAQs

We are going to be running out in brand new kit this season and we're excited for this revamp for the Rockets. Below outlines the most common questions we have about this, rest assured, we will ensure everyone has what the need to kick off Round One. NOTE: Players still need to purchase personal equipment such as boots and shin pads.

  • Do I need to buy this ?
No we are very proud that we will be supplying a New Jersey, shorts & socks to every registered player for the 2025 season from Nursery Squad to over 45s & everyone in between.
  • How can I order?
Once you’ve registered and teams are formed we will give you sizing information & requested jersey number (for ages 12 & up) to your manager. The manager will then give all the information to the club. When the stock comes in the club will dispatch each team’s uniforms to the team managers to distribute.

  • Can I try the new uniform on?
Not really because they are on order & we don’t have any other than a few samples for the purpose of approving the design. But don’t worry. The new uniform sizing is based on our old uniform sizes. We’ve done this so the transfer to the new uniform is as smooth as possible. If you haven’t changed , get the same size. If your child’s jersey is a bit tight order the next size up. If you are new player to the club, you can simply try on our old uniform and order the same size. Our Club grading day is this Sunday, 9 February. The clubhouse will be open and so will the uniform cupboard for you to be able to try items on.

  • When will we receive our new uniforms?
Mid March is the current ETA.
Nursery squad will be distributed the 1st day of nursery squad Saturday 29th March

  • Will there be new Goal Keeper or Away strips?
Due to the cost & time that it takes to execute releasing the new strip club wide the decision has been made to postpone new goalkeeper & alternate jerseys. Perhaps later in the year or more likely in 2026. All goalkeepers will receive an outfield jersey (a normal maroon numbered Rockets jersey) to keep & as usual will be provided a keepers jersey on loan from the club. Be sure to tell your manager your desired jersey number for goalkeepers (not #1 ) in the 12s or older.

  • Can I get my choice of jersey number ?
Yes you can, but only for under 12s & older (competitive teams) as long as you register before the 5th February & inform your team manager your size & desired number & as long as it isn’t the same number as someone else in your squad.
